The lady who crossed the west by Inkendup The lady who crossed the west by Inkendup
It's my very old pal :iconladykeane:'s birthday!

So I whipped this up for her. An old character we worked on waaaay back in our uni days.

This is the first time I used a brush to ink with, I really need steadier hands! ^^;

Happy Birthday!

Nice one man! I'm no pro with ink and brush, but I've found that a key to smooth fluid lines really is inking _fast_. I always find that "fast and loose" translates to "smooth and fluid".
A week or so back I was talking inking techniques with Paul, :paulabstruse:, and he told me some awesome stuff. Next time we have an artjam I'll have to try and show you these techniques also. =)

WOOOOAAH Blast from the past!!! Thanks so much! :glomp:
It looks quite elegant, it's interesting to see you do a work in these long skinny dimensions, it reminds me of the scrolls in classic Chinese painting.

Glad ya you liked it :D
I was worried it looked a bit rushed. But I really enjoyed inking with a proper brush instead of a pen :D
